How can anyone live one's life letting criminals like so live! Don't have an account? Which is unfortunate to say since it is a story that deserves to be told but you should rather read up on the case the movie was based on instead, you'd get just as much, if not more, than you would watching this movie.
i would've done exactly what the kid did in the end.

i want to rip and skinned these stupid people out of their flesh who helped the wrong doings of the criminal... But if you have an ear for languages and culture, you may be able to pick up on a few things that may confuse you if you’re entirely unaware that there was an occupation to begin with.

It’s a mind-screw for a while, trying to wrap your brain around how something switched genres right in the middle, and admittedly some of the special effects of Shizuko’s later superpowers were kind of cheesy, but on the whole, I’d say it was pretty well done.
It’s disturbing and creepy in all the right places, atmospheric and tense without relying on jump scares, and has a lot to say about a very controversial time in Korea’s history.
(Watch a good sageuk, for example.) Please help these innocent kids get help.
Korean. Reyna Oct 01 2011 10:19 pm The main actor in this film, is from Coffee Prince, and it's her favorite. The movie also featured large amounts of court-room drama in the second half which I really enjoyed. Have you ever walked away from situations large and small feeling as if it wasn’t your business? kai Jan 03 2014 8:07 am When i was 8, i met someone on the street. For about 5 years since 2000, the principal and some teachers committed inhumane sexual molestation and abuse against some deaf children. The problem, and this is a problem with a LOT of Korean movies is that, at the end, it devolves into sheer manipulation and melodrama to guide your emotions.

Money silenced the truth. Is the boy really died?
So shocked when I knew this movie was based on novel that inspired from a true case at a school for hearing-impaired persons in Gwangju, South Korea.
It makes you think about all those cases similar like this which can't get justice and also about all the corruption in this world. And be warned, there are some spoilers a-comin’! Truly heartbreaking, but indeed an excellent movie.
I hope this movie received many awards because it was so good and was directed beautifully, there was nothing i didnt like about the production of this movie.
I was watching it alone and it was hard.
Anon Jun 21 2013 2:01 am i forgot abt it,... later one day i could understand the incident and all my blood was in my head(angry) and i wanted to kill him if he would be near me at the time, exactly like this boy i just wanted to kill him.

No one should have to go through things like that, but it kills me to say that it is happening each and everyday and in other places to not just Korea. Gang In-ho uncovers sexual and physical abuse at a school for hearing impaired children.
But it doesn’t stop there. The pervasiveness of corruption is, rather, to be expected. I just watched it on Netflix. At least the kids in the movie had someone by there side & they tried their best, but I guess sometimes justice cant always be the answer. Netflix has a variety of foreign films. ervy Dec 22 2014 7:15 am I was moved by tears with these beautiful young souls cut from themselves because of their impoverishings because they had no one other themselves as institutionalized persons. This movie is very disturbing to watch, so if those who wants to watch, be on the lookout... just so many unforgettable scenes that you won't ever forget. Set in Seoul, then known as Gyeongseong, in the late 1930s, the story focuses on a sick young woman named Shizuko, sent to a sanitarium school. Although the film ultimately achieves its function to expose deep-rooted and far-reaching social injustice, its visceral representation of harrowing and morally repugnant scenes remains unnerving and questionable. ANYONE unable to protect themselves from such inexcusable violence.
I thought this was a very good movie.

Ki Oct 01 2011 4:28 pm It shifts from seeming like a horror movie to a historical sci-fi thriller, and it does it fairly seamlessly. (when I was watching the boy getting beat up so bad at school by that teacher who sexually raped him many times, I was like WTF??!!! Silenced is one of the those film that left me in tears and speechless.
It was so hard to bare. Anyone know about the children's life for now?
Just confirm how you got your ticket. Where is god on shit like this.
Some criticsm I had for the film were 2 scenes felt just too graphic and a few other times the movie seemed to carry a far too simpleton feel, but in hindsight I'm guessing both of these points originated from the filmmaker's desire to have maximum impact with the largest group possible. I was completly left in thought for a few hours after this movie, that's for sure.
It’s not many movies that can do that and still stay cohesive. Coming Soon. lately i watched some tv-programms abt such a story, Becoz of that i can now remember his face again clearly. I hope that in this lifetime, in my lifetime, our country will change and grow into a fair, incorruptible system of justice deserving of our loyalty and pride where justice is not sold but revered.

Coming Soon, Regal Saw this movie today. Let's just say...sometimes I hate that they're true stories. I cannot stand it anymore!!!)
I sooo appreciated the depiction of the FIGHT for justice itself and the negative consequences for those who speak up. what does the i-handshape on the chin means? //]]>. They're even WORST than a devil.
Jada Jul 06 2012 5:50 am Just saw the movie.. Couldn't stop crying during the 30 last minutes, it was horrible..
