And following the heavily praised conclusion of that other tense drama, The Missing, earlier this week, writer/director Alan Cubitt certainly has a tough act to follow. So, here we are at the feature-length finale to the second season of The Fall. The most probable explanation is the one from EdChum's comment - this is a message to her family as she wasn't expecting to survive.
