If I could stand up and applaud for this book, I would. I especially appreciate the positive forward looking approach. The book draws you in from the first chapter! This book brings an important part of our Jewish history to life and let’s the reader experience so vividly through the eyes of people living it. This book has even inspired me to look into how I could collect stamps.

This complex and beautifully written novel takes us from 1938 in Austria at the time of the Anschluss, or Nazi takeover of Austria, to America and Germany in 1991, with a few additional side trips. In a jealous rage, Borden picks a tight with his rival Moran and shoots him.
The sheriff, to prevent trouble, goes after them. All I can say is if you like historical fiction, if you enjoy reading about WW II, you must put this on your reading list.
